Man Found Dead on M4 Slip Road Near Bridgend

A 24-year-old man has been found dead on a slip road of the M4 motorway in South Wales, prompting a temporary closure of the busy route. South Wales Police received reports of a man in distress on a footbridge near Junction 36 shortly before 9:30pm on Saturday, December 6.

Emergency services, including the South Wales Ambulance service and Crime Scene Investigators, attended the scene. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man but were unsuccessful. The motorway was closed in both directions between Junction 35 and Junction 38 to allow for police and CSI work.

The man has been identified as a 24-year-old from Litchard, Bridgend. His family has been informed and is receiving support from authorities. The closure was lifted in the early hours of Sunday, December 7. During the closure, traffic speeds averaged 15mph in the area.
