Shocking CCTV footage has emerged capturing the terrifying moment a car mounted a kerb and struck a pram carrying a ten-month-old baby at a busy Scottish shopping centre.
The incident, which occurred at the Minto Shopping Centre in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, shows a black Peugeot 208 mounting the pavement and colliding with the buggy before speeding away from the scene.
Miraculously, the infant escaped with only minor injuries following the harrowing collision on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, rushed to the scene shortly after 3:15 PM.

Police Scotland confirmed that the baby was treated for minor injuries at the scene by paramedics and did not require hospital treatment. The child's mother, who was pushing the pram at the time of the incident, was understandably shaken but physically unharmed.
An eyewitness described the scene as "utterly horrifying," stating that shoppers and staff rushed to assist the mother and child immediately after the collision.
Police Hunt for Driver
Authorities have launched an urgent search for the driver of the Peugeot, who failed to stop at the scene. The vehicle was later recovered by police a short distance from the shopping centre.
Sergeant John Tait from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit stated: "This was a frightening experience for the mother and her child, and it is only due to good fortune that the child was not more seriously injured."
Police are appealing to the driver, or anyone with information about the incident, to come forward immediately. They are particularly interested in speaking to any witnesses who might have seen the vehicle prior to or following the collision.
