A crash has shut a busy stretch of the A470 near Cardiff. Emergency services are in attendance on the northbound carriageway, near the Upper Boat junction.
Images from Traffic Wales cameras show that the carriageway is completely shut due to the crash, with drivers having to pass on the hard shoulder. Queues are already beginning to build in the area.
Traffic delays
The AA Traffic Planner says delays are approaching 10 minutes on the A470 for drivers heading out of Cardiff this evening. The most severe congestion is between the Nantgarw and Glyntaff Interchanges.
Carriageway blocked
