A traveller gang has released footage of a damaged car while bragging about their ongoing feud with rivals. The clip, circulated online, shows a mangled red vehicle with one headlight out, its bodywork battered and framework ripped apart. The windscreen is shattered, with damage appearing limited to one side of the car.
Bragging in the footage
In the video, a man can be heard saying: "Bad job boys, bad boys. If you want to do a mission then do it right, boys." Another adds: "Ya McGinley b*****s. You got broken, chased and ran - another one for the McPhees." The clip ends with the men chattering inaudibly and someone giggling in the background.
The footage was captioned: "Mcphees break up Mcginleys car." It appears from comments in the video that the vehicle was trashed after a confrontation. The details surrounding the incident remain unclear.
Recent clashes
This follows a high-speed road chase reported on Knightswood Road in Glasgow this week. Footage from inside a van shows a man screaming: "There you go, there you go, we done it, running boys" as the van chases a black car. The van races past houses, and a passenger shouts "hit it again, go on James" before the van smashes into the car's rear, deploying airbags.
The feud erupted at the start of the month after the McGinleys brandished shovels at the McPhees outside a newsagents in Rutherglen. A McPhee member posted the confrontation on TikTok, shouting: "You got me charged with attempted murder, you dirty grasses."
Middlewich attack and charges
Days later, an attack occurred at a caravan site in Middlewich. Footage showed a tipper truck reversing into parked vehicles, collapsing a brick wall, with masked men wielding weapons trashing cars and windows. The truck was set on fire. Seven Scottish men have been charged in connection with the incident.
Those charged include Nathaniel Lowe, 34, from Motherwell; James Lowe, 29, from Newmains; Nathaniel Lowe, 58; a 17-year-old boy; John McPhee, 30, from Larkhall; Billy McPhee, 52, also from Larkhall; and a 26-year-old. Charges include violent disorder, criminal damage, assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Around ten days ago, more footage showed the McPhee family arriving at a caravan site looking for the McGinleys. Around 30 masked men entered the park, battering vehicles with weapons, including a grey Audi and a red Subaru van. One gang member shouted "Come out, come out!" and another yelled "Where is he at?" before the men walked towards the exit.
