Merseyside Police have released CCTV images of two women they want to speak to after a burglary in St Helens where thieves stole a Samsung TV, an Apple iPad, and an Xbox One in broad daylight.
The burglary occurred at a flat on Swan Avenue on Wednesday, June 17, at around 10.30am. Police were called the following day, Thursday, June 18, after the incident was reported.
CCTV shows Ford Focus at scene
CCTV footage showed a dark-coloured Ford Focus at the address. Two women got out of the car, entered a door to the flats, and took several items from one property, including a Samsung TV, an Apple iPad, an Xbox One, children's clothing, jewellery, and other household items.
The women then loaded the items into the vehicle before driving off towards Derbyshire Hill Road.
Police appeal for information
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wayment said: “I am appealing to find the women shown in these CCTV images, or anyone who recognises them to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“To break into someone’s home is a serious offence and can have a massive impact on the person and families affected as they have had their home invaded which is an awful experience to go through.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was on Swan Avenue that morning on Wednesday, June 17 and saw what happened or has any information to contact us so we continue our investigation.”
