A tuk-tuk driver has been caught on CCTV stealing £24,000 worth of wine from a restaurant, using a wheelie bin to transport the bottles.

Footage released by City of London Police on Monday shows Iuliu Kubola removing wine bottles from racks in the basement of Piazza Italiana on Threadneedle Street on 6 May.

The 61-year-old placed 73 bottles of alcohol into a wheelie bin before leaving the restaurant, securing the bin to the front of his tuk-tuk, and cycling away.
