Details of the Fatal Collision
The incident occurred on Margate Parade in Redcliffe, approximately 41km north of Brisbane. Queensland Police confirmed they received reports of the collision at around 11.27pm on Monday night. Initial investigations indicate that the vehicle involved was a white ute.
Authorities have stated that the driver allegedly left the scene after the crash. However, in a significant development, police have since arrested a 58-year-old individual in connection with the incident.
