A man has been left stunned after receiving a vicious letter from a neighbour threatening to kill a barking dog – despite not owning one. The note, filled with expletives and spelling errors, was addressed to the owner of a 'mongrel dog' that had been keeping the writer awake at night.
The recipient, who goes by Josh on Reddit, shared his shock on the platform. 'I received this well-worded letter in my mailbox this morning. Wrong neighbour – I don't even have a dog,' he wrote. The letter warned: 'Keep ya mongrel f***ing dog quiet. We f***ing told you before but now you better kiss that mongrel dog goodbye coz we have had a gut full of its barking day and f***ing night.'
It continued: 'Have some manners and keep it inside or else it will be shut up for good. Sick of it trying to attack us and anyone walking by. Dead mongrel dog will be ya fawlt (sic). No more warnings a***hole. Shut your f***ing dog up.'
While many Reddit users expressed disgust at the threats, others mocked the neighbour's poor spelling, particularly the word 'fawlt'. One user suggested correcting the errors with a red pen and sending it back, while another remarked, 'Well it is the spelling of a person threatening to kill their neighbour's dog, not university exam.'
