Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has revealed her phone was stolen from her bag while she was on London's Oxford Street. The ITV presenter described the incident as a 'nightmare' and took to X/Twitter with a video filmed on the street to share her experience.
Narinder explained that she was wearing a shoulder bag on Oxford Street when someone must have pickpocketed her device. 'They must have put their hand in there and somehow taken it,' she said. 'Now the security was everywhere. In fact, two guys have just walked past right now. Oxford Circus had about six and they still took my phone!'
She added: 'It has been a nightmare trying to get a crime reference number and get the phone blocked. I just can't believe that I had my bag like this and they put their hand through there and I didn't even notice. It was within three minutes.' The presenter noted that she had used her phone just moments before the theft. 'I actually can't get over it, and you can't understand the panic when you lose your phone,' she said.
However, some followers were confused by the situation, questioning how she was capturing the video if her phone was stolen. 'But whose phone is she using to record this and upload it???' one asked. Another commented: 'So your phone is gone... What are you recording your video on?' Someone else quipped: 'Good news, Narinder, I found your phone! It's in your left hand.'
In response to the comments, Narinder shared a second post to clear things up. She wrote: 'So let's clear up a few things. 1. Mobile phone theft isn't an exclusive to London only problem lol. 2. The issue was this bag being an open bag. I normally have a cross body and I've NEVER had a stolen phone. 3. Know a loved one's phone OFF BY HEART. 4. The nearest police station from Oxford Street is Charring Cross (nightmare).'
