Gibbs-White's home burgled, fiancée warns fans

Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White's family home has been burgled, according to his fiancée Britney De Villiers. The South African model and influencer said she felt "violated" after the property was targeted and warned others to be "vigilant" in a social media post.

Burglary at family home

De Villiers, who has more than 600k followers on TikTok, said the couple's home was burgled a "few days ago". She confirmed that neither the couple nor their two young sons, Greyson and Hayes, were harmed in the incident. Describing the situation as "horrible", she wrote: "I wasn't going to publicly share this but our home was burgled a few days ago and after hearing about another one since, I feel it's important to just warn others.

"It's incredibly unsettling knowing that homes are being targeted. Please be extra vigilant, make sure your security systems are on whether you're in the house or not and report anything suspicious. Thankfully, nobody was home when it happened and material things can be replaced but it's a horrible feeling knowing someone has violated your home, especially when you have young children."

Couple's background

De Villiers and Gibbs-White reportedly met through a mutual friend in 2019, before the midfielder proposed in June 2025. She later revealed that their young age was the reason they delayed getting engaged for several years. She shared the news on Instagram with photos from a trip to Lake Como, captioning it "Forever."

On TikTok, De Villiers joked: "It only took six years and two babies. Don't lose hope girls." Their eldest son Greyson was born in 2023, and Hayes arrived in August 2025.

Impact on the family

On becoming a father for the first time, Gibbs-White told BBC Sport: "It's the best feeling in the world. No feeling can describe it. It's the hardest thing in the world as well. [Life] has changed for the better. It's calmed me down and chilled me out. It's another purpose to do well in football and do well in life."

De Villiers has been a constant presence in the stands supporting Gibbs-White and has been vocal in her support for him across social media.
