CCTV images have been released as part of an investigation into the theft of scrap metal from Eden Valley Hospice in Cumbria. Police are eager to speak with two men believed to be from the North East.
Incident Details
The incident occurred on Monday, April 10, at around 12:30 pm. Two individuals entered the hospice car park in a pickup truck, searched outbuildings, and took metal intended for scrap without permission.
Impact on Hospice
The proceeds from the scrap metal were meant to fund the refurbishment of a ward at the hospice. The theft has therefore directly affected patient care.
Police Appeal
Northumbria Police have shared the appeal from Cumbria Police. Anyone with information is asked to report online quoting incident number 207 of April 13, 2026, or call 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
