Greater Manchester Police are searching for an armed robber who wielded a large kitchen knife during a 'terrifying' raid at a Domino's Pizza in Standish, Wigan. The incident occurred at around 11pm on Thursday, July 26, at the branch on Market Street.
The suspect entered the premises brandishing the knife and threatened staff, who handed over a quantity of cash before the offender fled. No injuries were reported, but staff were left shaken by the ordeal.
Detective Sergeant Claire Hughes of GMP's Wigan borough said: 'This was a terrifying incident which left staff at the takeaway genuinely fearing for their safety. Nobody should be put in that position when they are at work.'
Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the robbery. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 0161 856 7182 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
