The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 20 July, with police receiving a report at around 1:15 am that the ATM had been broken into and cash taken.

Officers were called to the scene on Brecon High Street at approximately 1 am. According to police, the ATM was forcibly entered, and a significant amount of cash was removed. A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson stated: "Officers are appealing for information following a report of a burglary at NatWest on High Street, Brecon, in the early hours of Monday morning (20 July).
