British Transport Police (BTP) have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) train in London. The incident occurred on Friday, 29 May, at around 10:30 pm.
Victim Harassed on Platform, Then Assaulted on Train
The victim was on the platform at Canary Wharf station when a man approached her and began to sexually harass her, according to BTP. She then boarded the train, and the man followed. He sat next to her, and when she tried to move away, he grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, refusing to let go.
The assault only stopped when two other passengers intervened. The suspect then got off the train at King George V station. BTP detectives are investigating the incident and have released an image of a man with short black hair and facial hair, wearing a white T-shirt and a black cross-body bag.
