Woman raped near Milton Keynes bridge, manhunt continues

Thames Valley Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify after a woman was allegedly raped near a pedestrian bridge in Milton Keynes. A second woman reported being targeted nearby weeks later.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was allegedly raped on a redway between Conniburrow and Milton Keynes between 8.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday, September 9. A second woman, in her 50s, reported being targeted on Wednesday, September 23, shortly before 9.20pm on a redway in Conniburrow. Police said both women were receiving support from officers, who remain in contact with them.

Police appeal and arrests

Detectives have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries and examining CCTV footage as part of their investigation. Two men, aged 22 and 19, both from Milton Keynes, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and attempted rape. However, both have been released from police custody on conditional bail while further enquiries continue.

Officers have now released images of another man they believe could have information to help their investigation. Police acknowledged that the images were not clear but said they hoped members of the public might recognise the individual pictured.
