A woman in her 20s has allegedly been raped after being dragged into a doorway in Covent Garden. The Metropolitan Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to following the attack.
Attack details
The victim was approached by an unknown man as she walked through the crowded streets of Shaftesbury Avenue, Cambridge Circus and Drury Lane in the early hours of Saturday, August 22. At around 5:20am, the man dragged her into a doorway in Macklin Street before allegedly raping her.
Victim's escape
The woman managed to fight off her attacker and flee the scene, before reporting the incident to police. Officers are now appealing for information and have released images of a man they wish to identify in connection with the attack.
