According to local police, the girl climbed from the terrace to an adjacent balcony to flee her captors. Her family had reported her missing hours earlier when she failed to return. A hotel employee heard her cries for help and alerted emergency services, prompting a swift police response.
One individual has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful detention, issuing serious threats, sexual assault, and drug offences. It is alleged that he threatened the girl with a knife and assaulted her. Two others, including a minor, were arrested on suspicion of unlawful detention and public health offences. The victim is believed to have been coerced into taking drugs prior to the attack.
The nationalities of those involved have not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
