Elderly Woman Targeted in Disturbing Park Attack
Authorities in New South Wales have launched a major investigation after a teenage boy allegedly knocked an elderly woman to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her in a public park. The disturbing incident occurred in Brooklyn Park at Ashtonfield, within the Hunter Region, at approximately 7.20pm on Monday evening.
Chilling Details of the Assault
The victim, a woman in her 80s, was simply enjoying an evening walk when the alleged attack unfolded. According to police reports, the teenage suspect pushed the elderly woman to the ground before attempting to sexually assault her. Following the attempted assault, the teenager fled the scene on a push scooter, leaving the victim injured and traumatised.
The woman was subsequently taken to hospital for medical treatment and assessment. After receiving care, she contacted a family member who immediately alerted police to the horrifying incident, triggering the current investigation.

Local detectives have joined forces with the State Crime Command's Sex Crimes Squad to pursue all leads in this case. The collaborative approach demonstrates the seriousness with which authorities are treating this alleged attack on a vulnerable member of the community.
Police have released a description of the suspect, who they believe to be in his mid-to-late teens. The teenager is described as having a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts during the incident.
