A man who told a woman to "shush" before raping her in a hotel bedroom after her birthday night out is due to be sentenced next month.
Aaron Robinson, 33, of no fixed address, was staying at a hotel in Hull on the night of the attack and had been using cocaine. Hull Crown Court heard how Robinson got into the woman's bed and began touching her.
Woman made clear she did not consent
The woman told him to "Get the f*** off" and made it clear she did not consent to sex, but he said "Come on, come on" and tried to kiss her. Stephen Robinson, prosecuting, said: "She didn't want to have sex with him. She could not be any clearer that she did not want to have sex."
Despite her refusal, the defendant got on top of her, and when she said "Get off", he told her to "shush" before raping her, according to the Hull Daily Mail.
Plea changed after court case began
The woman told a friend what had happened the next morning and reported the incident to police on June 2, 2023. Robinson was arrested two days later. He initially denied the rape but changed his plea to guilty after the court case began.
After changing his plea, the case was adjourned so pre-sentence reports could be prepared. He is due to be sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on December 11. A second charge of rape, which Robinson denied, will lie on file. He remains in custody.
