Police have issued a major update in the investigation into the death of a mother found beaten to death at her home in Killarney, County Kerry. Officers have launched a large-scale manhunt for a suspect described as an asylum seeker.

The body of Jamey Carney was discovered at Homeland Estate on Muckross Road, Killarney. Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a disturbance. The victim, a mother, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination confirmed she died from severe blunt force trauma.
Police Appeal for Information
Gardai have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. A spokesman said: "We are following a definite line of inquiry and are actively searching for a male suspect. We urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact Killarney Garda Station."
