
West Midlands Police have launched a major investigation following a horrific sexual assault on a Sikh woman in Oldbury, with authorities releasing CCTV footage in their search for the perpetrator.
The attack occurred around 7:30 PM on Tuesday, January 9th, as the victim was walking along Birchfield Lane near the junction with Wychbury Road. The assailant approached the woman from behind before subjecting her to a violent sexual assault.

Detective Inspector James Fielding described the incident as "truly awful" and emphasised that specially trained officers are supporting the victim through this traumatic experience. "We're doing everything we can to identify the person responsible," he stated.

Investigators have released crucial CCTV footage showing a man they urgently wish to identify. The individual appears to be wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with the hood up, dark trousers, and dark trainers with white soles.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who was in the Birchfield Lane area between 7 PM and 8 PM on January 9th to come forward with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
