A mother allegedly killed her 28-year-old daughter with a butcher's knife after recording a mysterious audio message. The shocking crime emerged on Friday evening (June 12), when a 40-year-old man approached police claiming his sister had admitted to him that she had assaulted her daughter.
Authorities were subsequently rushed to a residence in Tres Isletas, Argentina, where they discovered Pamela Magalí Gauna sprawled in a pool of blood, showing no signs of life. Beside her body lay a butcher's knife featuring a blade exceeding 30cm (12in) in length, thought to be the weapon used in the slaying.
Almost at the same time, the suspect, Irma Gladis Pérez, willingly surrendered herself at the police station. Pérez, thought to be aged 58 or 60, was detained and continues to be held in custody, as reported by NeedToKnow.
Investigation Details
At the premises, detectives confiscated the blade, mobile phones and additional items deemed pertinent to the investigation. Pamela's body was allegedly found with numerous stab wounds, primarily to the face and neck.
Forensic specialists also discovered injuries matching defensive wounds on her hands. An audio message linked to the accused, transmitted prior to the killing, has subsequently emerged.
According to sources familiar with the case, Pérez stated: "Before they deal with her in Buenos Aires, I'll deal with her myself." Officials are still attempting to decipher its significance.
Victim's Background
Pamela, an only child, had included the phrase "My mum is everything" in her Facebook bio. No previous complaints or reports of discord or aggression between mother and daughter have surfaced, leaving detectives without an obvious motive.
They are presently examining the duo's histories, medical files and witness accounts in a bid to establish context. Pamela, a regular church attendee, is survived by her schoolteacher father. Online, one mourner described her as "sweetness personified".
