A 25-year-old man has appeared in court accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at a football pitch in Oban. The incident is alleged to have taken place at Mossfield Stadium on Mossfield Avenue at around 11:15pm on Saturday, July 25.
Police confirmed that a man was arrested and subsequently charged in connection with the attack. A report is to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Court appearance
Cameron Laird made no plea when he appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court. He was granted bail, and his next court date is yet to be confirmed.
