Man, 24, charged with filming 410 men in toilets

A 24-year-old man has been charged with voyeurism after he was allegedly caught filming at least 410 men as they used the toilet, with authorities finding 369 videos recorded in male toilets.

Charges and Allegations

Gary Teo Yong Jie faces two counts of voyeurism. According to chargesheets seen by Singaporean news website Mothership, he is accused of filming the 410 male victims in toilets between February 24 and December 23, 2025.

The location or locations of the alleged offences have not been disclosed.

Additional Charge and Court Appearance

Jie also faces a charge relating to a non-recent act of voyeurism from May 2023. He is accused of filming a male as they used a urinal at around 10pm, though the location of that alleged offence has also not been disclosed.

It has not been revealed how Jie filmed the 369 videos, and it is not known if the victims have been made aware of the recordings.

Next Steps and Potential Penalty

He was charged by police on October 30 and did not enter a plea on his first appearance in court. He is scheduled to appear in court again on November 27.

If found guilty of voyeurism, he could face up to four years in prison for the two counts, and could also be fined or caned alongside a prison sentence.
