'Lucifer' Paedophile Who Abused Girls as Young as 10 Jailed in Horrific Child Sex Case
'Lucifer' Paedophile Jailed for Child Sex Abuse

A dangerous sexual predator who adopted the sinister nickname 'Lucifer' has been jailed for 18 years after systematically grooming and abusing vulnerable young girls in a horrific child exploitation case.

Systematic Grooming of Vulnerable Children

Manchester Crown Court heard how the 34-year-old offender, whose real name is Paul Rutter, deliberately targeted and manipulated young girls, some as young as 10 years old. The court was told he exploited their vulnerability and used sophisticated grooming techniques to gain their trust before subjecting them to repeated sexual abuse.

Prosecutors described how Rutter would present himself as a caring figure while simultaneously isolating his victims from their families and support networks. One victim described how he would "act like he was protecting me" while systematically breaking down her boundaries.

Chilling 'Lucifer' Persona

Perhaps most disturbingly, the court heard how Rutter embraced the dark moniker 'Lucifer' among his victims and associates. This nickname became symbolic of the terrifying control he exerted over the young girls he targeted.

Detective Inspector James Smith, who led the investigation, stated: "The use of such a sinister nickname speaks volumes about the mentality of this individual. He revelled in the fear and control he could exercise over these vulnerable children."

Lengthy Investigation Brings Justice

The abuse came to light after one brave victim came forward to police, triggering a complex and sensitive investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Child Protection Unit. Officers worked meticulously to gather evidence and support multiple victims through the judicial process.

During sentencing, Judge Sarah Johnston described Rutter as a "calculating and manipulative predator" who showed no remorse for his actions. She emphasized the profound and lasting psychological damage inflicted upon his young victims.

Victims Praised for Their Courage

In a statement following the sentencing, police authorities commended the bravery of the victims who came forward. "These young girls have shown incredible courage in speaking out against their abuser," said DI Smith. "Their strength has ensured a dangerous predator is now behind bars where he cannot harm any more children."

The case has highlighted the importance of robust child protection measures and the need for continued vigilance in identifying and supporting vulnerable young people at risk of exploitation.
