Police in Aberdeenshire are investigating the alleged sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl at a playpark in Macduff.
Incident reported on Monday
Officers launched an investigation after receiving a report of an incident in Macduff on Monday, August 10. The alleged assault is understood to have taken place at a park in the Duff Street area, close to the town’s Community and Sports Centre.

Police Scotland confirmed enquiries are ongoing and said officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
