A 14-year-old girl was forced to jump from a hotel balcony to escape an alleged sexual assault at knifepoint on Spain's Costa del Sol, in a harrowing incident that has shocked the popular holiday region.
Alleged Attack in Torremolinos Hotel
The teenager is reported to have been threatened with a knife while one of three men sexually assaulted her in a room at a hotel in Torremolinos during the early hours of Saturday morning. According to initial reports, the girl had been forced to take drugs before the alleged attack occurred.
Dramatic Escape and Police Response
The 14-year-old had been reported missing by her family earlier that day, and police reportedly received a call from a hotel worker who heard a girl screaming. As officers were en route, the teenager managed to escape through a balcony and hide in another room within the hotel complex.
Spanish police have since arrested three young men, including one minor, for allegedly sexually abusing the teenager and holding her hostage. One suspect faces charges of illegal detention, sexual aggression, serious threats, and an offence against public health. The other two men were detained on suspicion of kidnapping and an offence against public health.

This disturbing incident follows another high-profile case in which a "wolf pack" targeted and raped a British teenager at a Magaluf hotel. In that previous case, seven French men and one Swiss man accepted prison sentences totaling over 73 years for the gang rape of an 18-year-old British girl at the BH Mallorca hotel in summer 2023.
The men in that case agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors just days before their trial was scheduled to begin, admitting to the horrific crimes they committed at the Spanish hotel. Had they been convicted at trial, they faced potential jail sentences of up to 150 years.
The latest incident in Torremolinos has raised renewed concerns about tourist safety in Spain's popular coastal resorts, particularly regarding vulnerable young visitors.
