Four arrested over alleged gang rape of teen in Paris KFC

French police have arrested four men following an alleged gang rape of a 13-year-old girl inside the toilets of a KFC restaurant in central Paris.

Details of the Alleged Attack

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening in the busy Les Halles district. According to initial reports, the teenage victim was separated from her friend before being lured into the restroom of the fast-food outlet located in the Forum des Halles shopping centre.

It is alleged the men, aged between 18 and 24, led the girl away under the pretence of waiting for her friend. Once inside the toilet area, she was then sexually assaulted by the group.

Passer-by Intervention and Arrests

The situation came to light when alert passers-by found the distressed and crying teenager. After hearing her harrowing account, they immediately contacted the police.

The Paris prosecutor's office confirmed that officers from the Central police station were alerted to the reported rape. Police swiftly arrived at the scene where, with the victim's help, they were able to identify and detain the four suspects.

Ongoing Investigation and Victim Support

The four arrested men are now being investigated on suspicion of rape of a minor under 15 by the specialised Juvenile Protection Unit. French media outlet Entreveu reported the ongoing probe.

Following the traumatic ordeal, the young victim has received necessary medical and psychological support. The case has sent shockwaves through the local community and highlights ongoing concerns about public safety.
