The father of a teenage victim of Marek Dvorak has spoken of his family's 'horrendous ordeal' after the 31-year-old Czech DJ and music producer was convicted at the High Court in Edinburgh on July 22 following a trial lasting more than a week.
The Abuse
Dvorak, who also goes by the alias Mark Coppi on social media and claims to be a resident DJ at Revolution Edinburgh, was found guilty of offences involving three young male victims. One victim was subjected to abusive behaviour and sexual harm over more than two years after first coming into contact when he was 15. Dvorak repeatedly threatened to send footage of him having sex with the boy to his friends and family. The offences took place between December 2023 and February 2026 at various locations in Edinburgh.
Other Victims
Between August 2021 and April 2024, Dvorak threatened to disclose footage appearing to show another teenage victim having sex with another person; that victim had just turned 16. Between March 2023 and January 2024, Dvorak raped another teenage boy and carried out a sustained campaign of abuse, including punching and kicking him, uploading an intimate image to a dating website without consent, and threatening to reveal his sexuality.
Conviction and Sentencing
Jurors found Dvorak guilty of five offences: assault, rape, domestic abuse involving physical violence and sexual harm, and threatening to disclose intimate footage. He was also convicted of breaching bail conditions between July 2024 and February 2026 by failing to comply with an order banning him from contacting children under 16. Dvorak, whose address was given as HMP Edinburgh, is due to be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on September 9.
The teenager's father said: 'I'm glad he was found guilty of several charges. I'm not going to lie, it was definitely a hard day, and a struggle getting through the process. I'm just hoping now he gets a lengthy sentence, because at the end of the day he deserves everything that comes to him. I got very angry seeing him in court. Even though I was giving evidence from behind a screen, my partner was watching from the gallery and said he was laughing while I was speaking. But I refused to be intimidated by him. People like that need to be exposed so other people know what they're like.'
