A woman has been charged with murder after police discovered a 75-year-old man dead at a property in Bolton on Friday. Samantha Nuttall, 49, of Bradford Street, Bolton, was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday, July 20.
Police Called to Hargreaves House
Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Hargreaves House on Ormrod Street, Bolton, at approximately 8am on Friday, July 17. Upon arrival, they found a 75-year-old man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A crime scene van and police car were pictured near the address on Saturday, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Charge and Court Appearance
In a statement released on Sunday, July 19, GMP confirmed that Samantha Nuttall had been charged with murder. The statement read: "A woman has been charged following the death of a man at Hargreaves House, Ormrod Street, Bolton on Friday 17 July 2026. Samantha Nuttall (26.05.1977), Bradford Street, Bolton has been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody. She will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday 20 July 2026."
The statement added: "The charge relates to an incident officers were called to at Hargreaves House on Ormrod Street, Bolton at around 8am on Friday 17 July 2026. Sadly a 75-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene."
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence. No further details about the victim or the circumstances of the death have been released at this time.
