Two teenage boys have been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped at a park in Bradford, West Yorkshire Police have said. The boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody.
Investigation launched
The force launched an investigation after receiving a report of the alleged incident. The girl reported being raped at around 6pm on Wednesday, August 5. A police cordon was put in place around the area in Pitt Hill park in Holme Wood, Bradford, where the alleged offence is reported to have taken place as detectives continue their inquiries.
Support for victim
The teenage girl is being supported by specially trained officers while enquiries continue. Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have information about the alleged incident to come forward and contact the force.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Detectives are investigating after a report of a rape on Pitt Hill park in Holme Wood. A 15 year old girl reported being raped at around 6pm yesterday (August 5). Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17 years old, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford District Safeguarding Team. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact West Yorkshire Police as officers continue their enquiries."
