British Transport Police are appealing for information after a woman reported being sexually assaulted at Liverpool Central station. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM on platform one.
Details of the Assault
The victim stated that the suspect approached her, put his arm around her, and then sexually assaulted her. The man then left the scene. Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information crucial to their investigation.
The man in the image is described as wearing a grey tracksuit, Nike Air Max 95 trainers, and a grey and black baseball cap. Officers are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.
How to Provide Information
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 153 of 15 May." Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
