Detectives are urgently searching for a man in connection with a fatal crash between a car and a motorbike in Romford, where the car driver fled the scene. The Metropolitan Police have named the man they want to speak to as Lee Culleton.
Collision Details
Police responded to reports of the crash on Sunday, July 19, at 9:20pm on the A12 Whalebone Lane in Romford. Officers, along with the London Ambulance Service, Air Ambulance and London Fire Brigade attended the scene. Paramedics battled to save the 28-year-old motorcyclist, but he was pronounced dead. Specialist officers are supporting his loved ones.
Driver Fled Scene
The driver of the car fled on foot toward Chadwell Heath, the Met said. Police have been following several lines of enquiry and are now asking for the public's help in tracking down Lee Culleton.
Suspect Description
Culleton, 45, is described as approximately 5'9" to 5'10" tall with a medium to large build. He is known to frequent Canvey Island, Essex.
Detective Inspector Mark Braithwaite, leading the investigation, said: "We are keen to speak with Mr Culleton in connection with this incident, which has resulted in a man tragically losing his life. If any members of the public see Culleton, we strongly advise you not to approach him and to call 999 as soon as possible."
