Police are hunting a man following a fatal road traffic collision in east London.
The incident occurred at around 9.20pm on Saturday July 19, when a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car on the A12 at Whalebone Lane, Romford.
The Met Police, along with the London Ambulance Service, London's Air Ambulance and London Fire Brigade, attended, but despite the efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist died at the scene.
Driver fled on foot
The driver of the car fled the scene on foot in the direction of Chadwell Heath, according to the Met.
The force has said they would like to speak with Lee Culleton, 45, in connection to the incident.
Description of suspect
Police describe Mr Culleton as being approximately 5”9’ - 5”10’, with a medium to large build. He is known to frequent Canvey Island, Essex.
Detective Inspector Mark Braithwaite, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to speak with Mr Culleton in connection with this incident, which has resulted in a man tragically losing his life.
“If any members of the public see Culleton, we strongly advise you not to approach him and to call 999 as soon as possible.”
Appeal for information
Police have urged any sightings or information about Mr Culleton to be reported by calling 999 citing reference CAD 7142/19JUL, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
