Masked thieves targeted Lloyds bank on Horsemarket Street in Warrington in the early hours of Monday, July 6, making off with approximately £500 in cash. The incident occurred around 3:25 a.m., prompting an alarm that alerted Cheshire Police.

Police Investigation Underway

Officers arrived at the scene after the alarm was activated and discovered that the thieves had forced entry into the premises. Police believe the suspects fled on a red motorbike, heading towards Winwick Street and the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Detective Constable Vicky Hancox, of Warrington Proactive CID, stated: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re committed to doing all we can to trace the people responsible. As part of our investigation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes they may have witnessed the incident.”

Appeal for Information

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with video footage of the heist to come forward. DC Hancox added: “The same goes for anyone with any video footage of suspects arriving at or fleeing the scene on the red motorcycle.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via their website, quoting IML-2366619.
