Police have sealed off a large area outside Birmingham's main library in the city centre after two people were stabbed and rushed to hospital, where they remain.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: 'We are currently at the scene of a stabbing in Centenary Square, Birmingham.'
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening stab wounds. A second man has sustained wounds to his hand. A cordon is in place while we carry out enquiries.
