Merseyside Police are investigating after a 46-year-old man was attacked with a wine bottle on Millers Bridge in Bootle. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at around 9pm, when the victim was approached by two men while walking down the bridge.

Attack Details

The assailants struck the victim on the head with a wine bottle, causing a facial injury that required hospital treatment. Police were contacted on Friday, July 10, and an investigation is underway. Officers are carrying out enquiries and have cordoned off the area.
