This attack follows a similar drone strike on Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, which injured four people: two Ghanaian nationals, one Indian national, and one Bangladeshi citizen. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Defence emphasised that air defences are actively responding to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, urging the public to adhere to safety instructions.

A 60-year-old London man is among 21 individuals charged under the UAE's strict laws against filming or sharing conflict-related content on social media. Radha Stirling, director of the advocacy group Detained in Dubai, noted that the man deleted the video immediately when asked but still faces charges carrying up to two years in prison.
