Girl, 12, Critical After E-Bike Hit-and-Run

A 12-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being hit by an e-bike in Warrington. Emergency services were called to Long Lane, Orford, Warrington, at around 2:40 PM on Wednesday, June 17, following reports of a collision involving an e-bike and a child.

Cheshire Police officers arrived at the scene to find the girl had suffered serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital, where she remains in a critical condition, the force confirmed.

The rider of the electric bike did not stop at the scene, prompting police to appeal for help in locating him. Following the incident, the road was closed while emergency services attended to the girl. One witness reported seeing a helicopter overhead.

Detective Sergeant Russ Sime said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us. This occurred at a busy time of day when there would have been a lot of traffic and footfall in the area."

"The same goes for anyone with any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident."
