Jeffrey Epstein told one of his victims that he was a father, according to newly released Department of Justice files. The disgraced financier reportedly displayed a sculpted torso mold of the mother of his child at his Manhattan mansion.
In an FBI interview, a victim recounted that Epstein pointed to a photograph of a blonde woman on a beach and said, 'This is the mother of my child.' He described the woman as 'perfect' and claimed her future husband would be 'very lucky.' The files also include images of Epstein holding a baby, though the child's identity is redacted.
The revelation contradicts repeated denials by Epstein's brother, Mark, that the financier ever fathered children. However, emails from former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, sent in September 2011, congratulated Epstein on the birth of a baby boy.
Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The latest document dump includes photographs and interview transcripts that shed further light on his crimes.
