James Desborough, a 40-year-old fan of the TV serial killer Dexter, has been convicted of murdering two men whose dismembered bodies were found in woodland in Cornwall.
Trial verdict
Desborough was found guilty at Winchester Crown Court of killing Claudio Aquilino, 57, and Daniel Coleman, 43. Their remains were discovered in Sticker Woods last year.
The court heard that the victims had previously lived with Desborough at a homeless hostel in Newquay, and were last seen alive in his company.
After the men disappeared, Desborough used their money, the jury was told.
Discovery of remains
The bodies were dismembered in an area of Sticker Woods where Desborough lived in a cabin on land he owned. Police found about 1,900 burned bone fragments from Mr Aquilino's body. Parts of Mr Coleman's body, including his torso, legs and feet, were discovered in a shallow grave nearby.
