Police were called to Maxwell Road in Glasgow around 10:05 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, after reports of a disturbance. Locals reported that a person was allegedly 'chasing' others with a weapon. Officers arrested a man at the scene. Footage obtained by the Record shows two uniformed police officers responding to the incident. A female officer, wearing blue gloves, can be seen holding a pickaxe as she runs with a male colleague toward two other officers further up the street. The other two officers are crouched over, restraining a man lying on the pavement handcuffed beside a shop.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 10.05pm on Sunday, 28 June, 2026, officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the Maxwell Road area of Glasgow. A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 29 June, 2026.'
