A British mother who went missing in Paris almost two weeks ago has been found safe and has been reunited with her young daughter. Lucy Stemp, from Tonbridge, returned home on Wednesday 10, her stepfather Sean confirmed.
Ms Stemp had travelled to Brest, France for a music festival before heading to Paris, with her last known location being the Bercy district. She was reported missing on May 30, prompting a search involving the British Embassy and Interpol.
Her daughter, Gracie Anne, had been left waiting desperately for her return. Ms Stemp had previously described her daughter as “the reason she keeps going” and proudly shared news of her swimming achievement on social media.
Friends and family launched urgent appeals for information as concerns grew. Stepfather Sean said: “Lucy is my stepdaughter and is very vulnerable, she has been missing for over a week now.” The reasons for her disappearance remain unclear.
Well-wishers expressed relief on social media. Mark Wiles commented: “Relieved she’s home… hope you, Denise and family are all ok after what must have been a nightmare time.” Dave Nash added: “That's great news. Hope you are all OK after such a distressing time.” Ms Stemp is now taking time to recover with her family.
