A 16-year-old boy suffered serious facial injuries after he was allegedly pushed off his bicycle into a parked vehicle on Kirkstone Avenue in St Helens. Merseyside Police reported that the teenager was cycling down the road when a male on an electric scooter pushed him, causing a collision with a parked car. The suspect fled the scene, leaving the victim with severe injuries to his face. The boy was taken to hospital for treatment.
Arrest Made
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, which involves causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody as investigations continue. Officers are still at the scene conducting enquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Ruth Tickle stated: "These are the early stages of our investigation as we establish what has taken place. I would urge anyone who was in the area of Kirkstone Avenue who witnessed the incident or has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage to come forward and speak to us."
