Teens Arrested After Boy, 15, Dies from Stab Wounds

Two teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was left with suspected stab wounds outside a hospital in Melbourne and later died. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, prompting a homicide investigation.

What Happened

The 15-year-old boy was found critically injured outside Craigieburn Community hospital on Lygon Drive, in Melbourne’s north, at approximately 7:50pm on Wednesday. A staff member from the medical centre rushed to his aid and performed CPR, but despite their efforts, the boy could not be saved and died at the scene.

Arrests Made

In a statement released on Wednesday night, police confirmed that a crime scene had been established and the boy, from Mickleham, had yet to be formally identified. Early on Thursday morning, at about 5:30am, a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested in the nearby suburb of Pascoe Vale. They will be interviewed by homicide squad detectives, according to Victoria Police.
