Ski Yodl Ltd, a UK travel company specialising in ski holidays, has entered voluntary liquidation, resulting in the cancellation of all package holidays booked through the firm. The company, which traded as Yodl, was incorporated in March 2018 and offered ski holiday packages to destinations including the French Alps.

According to its LinkedIn profile, Ski Yodl described itself as "a collective of ski industry professionals driven to create a customer-centric booking experience with skiing at its core". The company said its team had built up decades of experience living and working in mountain resorts and was creating "the largest online marketplace of hand-picked stays and experiences in the mountains". It also noted that it had been ranked 44th in the 2024 Startups 100 index, which recognises emerging UK businesses.
Official Notice and Liquidation Details
An official notice published in The Gazette confirmed that shareholders passed resolutions on July 22 for the company to be wound up voluntarily. The notice states: "That the Company be wound up Voluntarily." It also confirms: "That Richard Cacho be appointed as Liquidator for the purposes of such winding up."
Mr Cacho, of RCM Advisory Limited, was appointed liquidator on July 22. The notice, signed by director and chairperson Oliver Dannatt, lists the company's registered office as 13 The Close, Norwich. As a result of the liquidation, all package holidays booked through Ski Yodl have been cancelled.
Customer Guidance from ABTA
ABTA, one of the UK's largest travel trade associations, said: "We do not believe that there were any current customer bookings for package holidays at the time of liquidation. However, any customers who believe they may be affected should contact ABTA by emailing claimsrequest@abta.co.uk with details of their booking."
The company also sold accommodation-only bookings, which were not protected by ABTA. The trade body advised: "Customers that paid by credit or debit card and had accommodation-only bookings will need to contact their card issuer for assistance with obtaining a refund. Any customers that paid by other means such as bank transfer will need to register their claim with the liquidator, RCM Advisory Limited, on 01603 331960 or info@rcmadvisory.co.uk."
Industry Reaction and Wider Context
Following news of the liquidation, one LinkedIn user described the closure as "very sad", writing: "Very sad to see Yodl go into liquidation, a great business concept which had so much potential." The post also praised director Oliver Dannatt and expressed hope he would "thrive" in the future.
Ski Yodl is one of a number of travel businesses to have ceased trading or entered insolvency proceedings during 2026. Others include Regen Central Ltd, Gold Crest Holidays, Asiara UK Ltd, Simply Florida Travel Ltd, Salamander Voyages, Trav Expert Ltd, Strachan Travel Ltd, Travel Bespoke Ltd, Groupia Ltd and Global Vision International. The aviation industry has also seen several insolvencies this year, with Ascend Airways and EcoJet Airlines entering liquidation, while Zenith Aviation Limited and European Cargo have entered administration.
