Pensioner arrested on Welsh beach for bladed article

A 70-year-old man has been arrested following an incident on Aberavon Beach in Wales. Police were called to the beach at around 1.40pm on Monday after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Arrest details

Officers from South Wales Police attended and arrested the man, who was found to be in breach of police bail conditions. He remains in custody, according to Wales Online.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended Aberavon beachfront at around 1.40pm yesterday (Monday, July 20) following a report of anti-social behaviour. Upon arrival the man concerned was identified to be subject to police bail conditions of which he was in breach."

The man, aged 70 and from Birmingham, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. He is currently in police custody.
