Police have named 18-year-old Harley Seal as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that sparked a murder investigation. The incident occurred on Chestfield Road, Whitstable, outside the Chestfield Barn pub, at around 8.15pm on July 24.
Collision and death
Harley Seal was riding his motorbike when he was involved in a collision with a white Mercedes A180. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives have since launched a murder inquiry into his death.
Arrests and charges
An 18-year-old man voluntarily attended Canterbury Police station at 9.50pm on the evening of the crash and was arrested. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.
The following day, a 19-year-old man also attended Canterbury Police station and was arrested. Connor Todd, of Portlight Place, Seasalter, has since been charged with murder and appeared before Margate Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 27. He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, July 29.
Police appeal
A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage of either vehicle before or after the collision to come forward."
