A fugitive who mocked police on social media has been arrested and returned to prison. Nathan Muir, 32, had shared a topless selfie in response to a Greater Manchester Police appeal for help finding him.

Last month, GMP's Wythenshawe division posted a public appeal on Facebook asking for information on Muir, who was wanted on recall to prison. Muir responded by logging into Facebook and posting a shirtless selfie in the comments, writing: "Could of done a better pic (sic)."
Arrest and return to prison
On July 22, GMP Wythenshawe announced on Facebook: "While his famous abs appear to have escaped justice, he didn't. Remember Nathan Muir who wanted a 'better pic' on his recall to prison appeal? Good news, Muir was arrested this morning at an address in #Stockport following extensive enquiries and has been sent back to prison."
The initial appeal stated Muir had connections to Wythenshawe, Hale and Altrincham but no fixed abode. Police thanked those who shared the appeal.
