Nathan Muir, a 32-year-old fugitive who mocked police by posting a more flattering photo of himself on a Facebook appeal, has been arrested and returned to prison.
Taunt on social media
Last month, Greater Manchester Police's Wythenshawe division issued an appeal on Facebook for help locating Muir, who was wanted on recall to prison. Dissatisfied with the mugshot used in the appeal, Muir, while still at large, posted a shirtless selfie in the comments, captioned: 'Could of done a better pic [sic]'.
Arrest and update
After weeks on the run, Muir was located at an address in Stockport and has since been returned to prison. GMP Wythenshawe shared an update on Facebook, stating: 'While his famous abs appear to have escaped justice, he didn't. Remember Nathan Muir who wanted a "better pic" on his recall to prison appeal? Good news, Muir was arrested this morning at an address in #Stockport following extensive enquiries and has been sent back to prison.'
Users supported the police's approach, with one commenting that Muir had been 'trolled by the feds'.
